Light that spills beyond the screen
Mounted on the back of your TV, the Play Gradient Light Strip washes the wall behind it with several colours at once, blending smoothly from one shade to the next. The picture seems to extend past the edges of the screen, so films, sport and games feel bigger and more immersive than the TV alone can manage.
Colours that follow the action
Pair the strip with the Hue Sync TV app, Hue screen sync or a Hue Play HDMI sync box (sold separately), and the lights change in real time with whatever is on screen. Chromasync keeps colours precisely matched across the strip and the other Hue lights in the room, so a sunset on screen looks like the same sunset on your wall.
Rich colour and true white, with deep dimming
RGBWWIC technology delivers both vivid gradient colour and white light, from warm candlelight tones through to crisp daylight (1000 to 20000 K). Deep dimming takes the strip right down to a soft glow, ideal for late-night viewing when you want atmosphere without glare.
Sized for your TV: 65" or 85"
Choose the 65" strip (2.5 m) for TVs up to 65 inches, or the 85" strip (3.5 m) for TVs up to 85 inches. Both can be cut to size, so the strip fits neatly around a smaller screen in the same range, such as a 55" TV with the 65" strip or a 75" TV with the 85" strip.
A clean, do-it-yourself install
Fix the strip around the back of your TV with the included corner brackets and mounting clips, then connect the control unit and plug the power adaptor into a standard power point. There's no wiring and no electrician needed, and the strip stays out of sight so all you see is the light.
Start with Bluetooth, add a Bridge any time
Set up and control the strip straight away over Bluetooth with the Philips Hue app, with no Wi-Fi needed. Add a Hue Bridge (sold separately) to bring it into a wider Hue system with Matter support. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings and Sonos, and doubles as a Zigbee repeater to strengthen your Hue network.
A beautiful backdrop when you're not syncing
When the TV is off or you're not syncing, use the strip as ambient lighting for the lounge or media room. Choose a scene in the Hue app, set a cosy warm white for a night in, or use your voice assistant to change the mood without picking up your phone.
